No. Our shells are cut for rotation and use 4-way stretch fabric, so the sleeve and shoulder move with you at the top of the backswing.

Yes. The face fabric is chosen to stay quiet through the swing — no rustle at the top of the backswing, so you can stay over the ball in weather.

Machine wash cold, hang dry. Skip fabric softener — it coats the membrane. Re-proof the DWR with a spray-on treatment when water stops beading on the face fabric.

Sizing & Fit

Use the size guide on each product page. Our rain layers are cut to wear over a midlayer, so most golfers take their normal size.

In most cases, you do not need to size up for rain jackets (i.e. Clifden). Galway outerwear already includes room for a baselayer and midlayer beneath it without restricting your swing. If you have broad shoulders, you may want to size up.

The Claddagh Chino Rain Pant features our Classic standard cut with a relaxed drape through the seat and leg, accommodating thermal base layers easily while looking like a refined chino trouser. The Spiddal Five-Pocket Pant features our Tailored modern profile with a cleaner tapered leg line. Neither is a restrictive slim fit; both are patterned for active golf mobility.

Our over-pants feature comfortable elasticized waistbands and relaxed shell proportions designed to slide effortlessly over golf shorts or trousers. They also feature extended lower-leg zippers so you can quickly pull them on or take them off over your golf shoes right on the fairway when weather changes.

If you prefer a streamlined, closer athletic silhouette for dry or mild conditions, choose the smaller size. If you regularly play in cold climates and layer heavyweight thermals or fleece underneath, choose the larger size. Remember that we offer one free exchange per order if you need to adjust after trying it on.
